Prevention Is The Best And Only "Cure" For Ebola!!!!!!!!!

Phew!! Gone are the days when we were told that "prevention is better than cure". Of late, prevention is the only way out when it comes to the Ebola epidemic sweeping across the African continent. I cannot emphasize enough, the fact that Ebola has no known cure once the carrier starts to exhibit the symptoms. None!!! So far the World Health Organization has recorded around 700 cases of death from the virus out of the 1,201 cases reported. :(

Endeavor to take time out to educate ALL those around you and those you come across as you go about on the symptoms and ways to prevent being infected with this dreadful virus. Please don't be selfish about sharing the information on Ebola. By keeping the information about it to yourself rather than sharing and helping others around you, you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. You would be leaving yourself exposed to being infected.

Do not take it for granted that those around you know about Ebola and how to prevent it. Ask them, educate them, help yourself. Round up a handful of people you know would not be adequately informed about Ebola, go to  http://ebolafacts.com/ and take them through the detailed but easy-to-understand slides. It doesn't take much time at all (I know this because I have done it a few times) and it goes a long way because they would in turn pass on the information to others.

Let all hands be on deck regarding this epidemic. Let us lookout for others and in turn, ourselves. The symptoms are as easy to identify as they are to be overlooked as something serious.

Symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, body and joints aches, weakness, stomach pains, loss of appetite and occasionally, bleeding.

The Ebola virus can be spread though mucus, semen, saliva, sweat, vomit, stool or blood.

Prevention is generally by avoiding contact with body fluids of others, washing the hands with soap and water frequently and using hand sanitizers.

Please spread the word without creating panic.
